Forget the awards—each year when it comes to the Oscars, fashionistas tune in for one reason only: to see what gorgeous evening dresses the stars are wearing! This year’s ceremony was no exception and the celebrities did not disappoint when it came to fashion; we saw everything from sleek neutrals to over-the-top sparkle and bright solids to daring patterns.

Check out some of the most memorable dresses from the red carpet to score a sneak peak of what’s hot this spring and to get your favorite look for less:

Jessica Chastain channeled old Hollywood glamour in this soft, shimmering dress. Pairing a soft colored dress with loose waves is guaranteed to give you a dreamy, ethereal look—and make sure your dress has some shimmer or shine!

Catherine Zeta-Jones seems to have been channeling an actual Oscar last night with this gold beaded dress. A fitted mermaid shape combined with all-over sparkles and beading is the perfect way to stand out in a crowd.

Stacy Keibler demonstrates that patterns and a red carpet definitely mix well. If you’re going to rock a pattern from your neck to the floor, neutral colors add an element of extreme class.

Samantha Barks showed us that formal dresses don’t have to be complicated to get seriously noticed. Get her stunning look with a simple black silhouette and a bold plunging neckline.

Maria Menounos brought a punch of pink to brighten up the red carpet and accessorized with sparkling jewels and loose waves. A fitted colorful dress already stands out, but it really pops with a statement piece like an oversized necklace or earrings.

Kelly Rowland proves that color blocking is in this spring. Black and white color blocking makes an especially striking contrast and you don’t need many accessories to make a major sophisticated statement.
